Additional Daily Activities:
Continued Home Reading is extremely important for all members of our school. Please continue to complete you child’s diary each day and talk to them about what they are reading as often as you can.
Practice counting with your children. Students in grades Foundation and One should practice counting up to 100. Students in Grade 2 should practice skip counting by 2’s, 5’s and 10’s past 200. and students from Grade 3 to 6 should continue to learn their times tables facts.
Listed below are some free apps that you can get from the app store to assist with this: The Multiplication Tables Challenge, My Times Tables and Times Tables Game
Writing practice is also important especially for students from Foundation to Grade 2. Students in the Junior School could practice their name and letters of the alphabet daily which will continue to reinforce the skills that they have been learning in class. Students in Grades 3 to 6 could practice writing narrative stories and have family members read them focusing on giving them positive feedback.
